About

Sara Maurizi is a dance artist and performer based between London and mainland Europe.

From an early age, movement has been a central part of her life. From dancing in her bedroom as a child to developing her practice through training and a professional career, dance has remained a constant—a space where she feels most present, connected, aware, and alive.

Her work is driven by a curiosity for the many forms dance and performance can take and by an ongoing dialogue with other disciplines that explore the expressive potential of the body. Visual art, photography, and poetry are central influences within her practice.

As a performer, she engages with a wide range of formats, including stage productions, dance film, site-specific work, performance art, and durational practices. Her interdisciplinary approach reflects her desire to broaden the experience, perception, and sharing of the performing body.

Alongside her artistic work, she is committed to sharing her practice and artistic inquiries. She views dance as a powerful tool for connection, capable of bringing people together, creating bridges across differences, and opening spaces for dialogue and exchange.
